What Does Video Streaming Do To My Computer?

what does video streaming do? does it take up space or something, and if so where and can i get the space back?
it sorta confuses me, i never thought it did anything ‘bad’ before but my dad said it uses up something. . .
lol sorry it isnt very clear, i’m on a macbook btw

    it doesn’t do anything to your computer. What it does is use up your internet usage so say if you have 5gb of usage when your watching a video which is being streamed it is using up your internet usage. Usually once you run out of internet usage it will either cost you more money or they’ll so your internet down.
